S26 71ST HIGHLANDERS PIPERS SPORRAN - Very
rare sporran circa 1861. Brown hair. Two long tassles. Leather goat
top with very rare 71st badge. Great condition for age.

S25 VOLUNTEER CAMERON HIGHLANDERS PIPE BAND SIDEARM AND PIPERS
PLAID BROOCH - A super rare pair of items to the one soldier
probably a drummer as opposed to piper. Pre 1881 pipers plaid brooch
inscribed “CAMERON HIGHLANDERS” and the back with “BAND P - 112”.
There is another 2 P ’s stamped below pin and hook. Brass handled
short sword with lion head pommel. Stamped to handle “1ST
V. CMN 88 12”. This same stamp is present on the top scabbard mount.
Sword plade excellent for age with good point, no pitting or
blackening. Small nick out sharp edge. Scabbard good overall, some
dents to end section. Leather good with burst stitching on part of
rear seam. Overall length 27 inches approx. . This sword was worn by
drummers and briefly by pipers. Prior to introduction of the dirk.

early 1900’s. All original, no moth or damage. Oil cloth sweat band,
leather chinstrap. Size 56 approx.. Horse hair plume. Scarce item.

HLI PIPERS CROSSBELT AND WAIST BELT –
Beautiful rare items from the estate of Pipe Major D.W. AITKEN B.E.M.,
the last Pipe Major of the H.L.I., FIRST p/m of the R.H.F. and P/M of
the army school of piping, Edinburgh castle 1970-74. Pipers crossbelt
with silver mounts, each part stamped “Regimental Property, 1st
HLI ”. Makers stamp “WILSON & SHARP, EDINBURGH”, and with 1922 hallmark.
Also has RHF PIPERS WAIST BELT WITH R.H.F. pipers badge to buckle which
has a hand chased thistle motif. Good large size. Lovely items and used
by a very famous man.
