B87 WW1 BRITISH OFFICERS RAW EDGE BRODIE WITH ORIGINAL COVER -
A very striking all original private purchase raw edge Brodie helmet
complete with it’s original 2-piece khaki cover. As far as I can see the
cover has never been off the shell as it’s tightly stretched and the
string can not be undone. Cover is good overall with some rust spotting
to crown and some fraying along raw edge. High quality interior with
felt lined crown, thick leather liner with draw string and 2 outer bands
of black felt and khaki cotton. Tailors label to crown, indistinct (see
photo). Thick leather chin strap with brass buckle. Stamp to shell,
looks like “110 - 170”. Good size 57/58. Rare helmet especially with
it’s cover. Looks fantastic. £795
